英国国际商务考察团陈志明会长等人访问宝岛台湾
Chairman Chen Zhiming and the UK International Business Delegation visit the treasured island of Taiwan.
4月20日至25日，由英中经贸交流促进会会长陈志明、副会长许惠卿、英国川商联合会总会会长宋汶栗、副会长寇禧等组成的国际商务考察团一行来到中国台湾，访问高雄、台北等地，并与中国国民党主席吴敦义、前主席马英九、高雄市长韩国瑜、高雄市议会议长许昆源等见面会谈，讨论台湾商业机遇，以及与中国大陆企业的经贸合作前景。考察团主要成员还包括马来西亚颜章枢实业有限公司主席颜华艺、永泰斋董事贝圆贤、马来西亚国际地产董事麦汉亮、北京会空间艺术总监邓盈盈等。
From April 20th to 25th, an international business delegation led by Chen Zhiming, Chairman of the UK-China Economic and Trade Exchange Promotion Association, and Xu Huiqing, Vice Chairman, along with Song Wenli, President of the UK Sichuan Business Association, Vice President Kou Xi, and other members, visited Taiwan, China. The delegation traveled to locations including Kaohsiung and Taipei and held meetings with prominent figures such as Wu Dunyi, Chairman of the Kuomintang, former Chairman Ma Ying-jeou, Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu, and Kaohsiung City Council Speaker Xu Kunyuan to discuss business opportunities in Taiwan and prospects for economic and trade cooperation with Mainland China. Key members of the delegation also included Yap Chap Soo, Chairman of Yap Chap Soo Industrial Ltd. from Malaysia, Bei Yuanxian, Director of Yong Tai Zhai, Mike Hanliang, Director of Malaysia International Real Estate, and Deng Yingying, Art Director of Beijing Meeting Space Art.
22日，访问团与许昆源在高雄市议会议事厅会谈。许昆源介绍说，高雄港口发达，蔬菜水果生产等农产业也是优势产业，但在经济发展上需要寻找新的突破点，希望能与包括中国大陆在内的各地区产生更多经贸往来。会后，访问团还与韩国瑜共进工作午餐。
On the 22nd, the delegation engaged in talks with Xu Kunyuan at the Kaohsiung City Council meeting hall. Xu introduced the developed port of Kaohsiung and its strength in agriculture, including vegetable and fruit production. He expressed a desire to find new economic breakthroughs and hoped for more economic and trade interactions, including with Mainland China. Following the meeting, the delegation had a working lunch with Mayor Han Kuo-yu.
会谈中，陈志明介绍了英中经贸交流促进会基本情况，并表示高雄作为海滨城市，环境优美，气候宜人，适合发展旅游、养老、医疗产业以及相关的房地产开发。他说，随着“一带一路”倡议的多方合作加深，大陆与台湾之间的经贸合作机遇也将增多。宋汶栗补充道，四川近年来教育产业发展迅速，希望深入了解台湾教育系统，并与台湾在传统文化教育领域达成更多交流与合作。
During the discussions, Chen Zhiming introduced the basics of the UK-China Economic and Trade Exchange Promotion Association and mentioned that Kaohsiung, being a coastal city with a pleasant climate and beautiful environment, is suitable for developing tourism, eldercare, healthcare industries, and related real estate development. He noted that with the deepening of the "Belt and Road" initiative, economic and trade cooperation opportunities between Mainland China and Taiwan are likely to increase. Song Wenli added that Sichuan's education industry has developed rapidly in recent years, and he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan's education system and achieve more exchanges and cooperation in the field of traditional cultural education.
24日，考察团在台北分别会见了台湾地区前领导人马英九、现任中国国民党主席吴敦义。马英九表示，自己从小熟读古诗文，因此一直关注传统文化传播与交流。陈志明称，台湾人文底蕴深厚，包括半导体在内的科技与文化创意产业也很发达，希望台湾在未来能在引进投资方面更加开放，并建立起更便捷的经贸沟通平台。
On the 24th, the delegation met separately with former Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou and current Kuomintang Chairman Wu Dunyi in Taipei. Ma Ying-jeou shared his lifelong engagement with classical Chinese literature and his focus on traditional cultural exchange. Chen Zhiming noted Taiwan's profound cultural heritage and its developed industries, including semiconductors and cultural and creative industries, expressing hopes for Taiwan to be more open in attracting investments in the future and to establish a more convenient platform for economic and trade communication.
“台湾之行让我感受到了这里的文化魅力。考察团深入了解了台湾的经济现状与未来发展方向，很乐意参与到两岸同胞的沟通了解活动中来，也愿台湾拥抱更宽广的机遇，希望见证更多合作项目的落地。”陈志明说。
Chen Zhiming concluded, “Our visit to Taiwan allowed us to experience its cultural charm. The delegation gained an in-depth understanding of Taiwan's economic status and future development directions. We are eager to participate in the communication activities between compatriots on both sides of the strait, and we hope Taiwan embraces broader opportunities and witnesses the realization of more cooperative projects.”
